ABOUT

The GEICO CFC Race for Freedom is a community wide walk/run event that is held each fall in Oklahoma City, OK. Over the past four years Race for Freedom has encouraged families, friends, and members of the entire community to join together to celebrate life through philanthropy, fitness, and fun. The event is sponsored by Federal employees to raise money for non-profit organizations that participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).

Proceeds from the Race for Freedom are distributed to literally hundreds of local, national and international charities which provide meals for hungry children, relief for families in need of counseling, work to develop cures for diseases, provide comfort for the dying, and more. In 2006 over $3 million dollars was raised through CFC in the Central Oklahoma campaign. Each year several of the non-profit agencies that are members of the CFC are present at the race to provide information about the mission that their agency serves in the community.

More information on CFC can be found here

Since the race began, it has experienced strong community support from both the Federal sector and private industry. Today the Race for Freedom remains focused on offering the community a quality event while encouraging fun, fitness, and philanthropy. We would like to thank all of our sponsors for the support.
